What does a Nature Center Volunteer do?

Volunteers are at the core of the Nature Center’s community. They have helped us to inspire curiosity, respect, and action for our local environment and the larger natural world. We offer volunteer opportunities for dedicated adults, high school and college students, school and outside clubs, and community groups to assist with a wide range of activities throughout the year. These include: animal husbandry; recycling and composting; assistance at weekend and community events; special projects; and more.

Animal Husbandry Volunteers

The Nature Center at Greenburgh is not accepting any more applications for animal husbandry volunteers at this time. Please check back for updates.

If you have already applied, your application* will be reviewed and you will receive an email about whether or not you have been accepted. If approved, you will also receive information on next steps, including how to sign up for volunteer orientation. (Only after you receive confirmation of registration can you begin signing up for volunteer opportunities, including orientation.)

Space is limited. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

Please reach out to volunteer@naturecentergb.org with any questions.

*NOTE: Volunteers should use their PERSONAL EMAIL, not a school email. In addition, we ask that volunteers sign up directly.
